Dalhousie is an amazing hill station and it is located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh at 6400 feet altitude. It was built by General Lord Dalhousie, a British Governor in the year 1854. This is situated on the five hills of Himachal i.e Kathlong, Balun, Bakrota, Tehra, and Potrain. These hills are part of district Chamba. St. Patrick's Church, Panchpula, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, and Laxminarayan Temple are the attraction here. September to May is the best time to visit this hill station because, in July and August months are not good for traveling, these months receive heavy rainfalls and may be landslides. So you can ignore to visit that time. You can also see snowfalls in December and January months which make your tour more beautiful.
Dalhousie is well connected by road, air, and train way to the major cities. So you can reach easily. Pathankot is the nearest airport which is just 75 km away from Dalhousie and a flight can be booked from Delhi to Pathankot. The nearest railway station is Chakki Bank and Dalhousie hill station is approx 71 km from this railway station where you can reach Delhi, Jammu, Jaipur, and Haridwar by train. Delhi to Dalhousie taxi is all time available for you and it will take 11 to 12 hours time and approx 566 km via NH 44.
